Grdina got his start in the business long before his ex-wife, Jenna Jameson, had become a household name. After growing up in a wealthy family in the Midwest - much of the Slovenian community in Cleveland was built up by his ancestors - Grdina decided to strike out on his own and attend college on the West Coast at the University of San Diego. Though he never graduated, his education, combined with his family's business background, gave him the tools needed to make a name for himself.
Grdina was born in Ohio to a wealthy cattle ranching family.He spent his high school years at noted best prep school, Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills, OH. He attended (but did not graduate)the University of San Diego majoring in business and psychology. He left college finding it useful for those needing specialized education for careers that required it (law, medical, etc.) but didn't feel the opportunity cost was worth it for his needs.
